Cold War Project
(delayed from MARCH 23rd due to NWEA testing in class all week)
Choose one of the following countries:
Format: Any format that meets the requirements of the rubric. (paper, poster, song, video, website)

Topic: Choose any country or historically relevant named area (example: Palestine or Kashmir) except NOT China, Israel, Soviet Union or United States. See recommendations below.
Choosing Topic: Any student that chooses and posts their choice into Schoology first gets the topic (Discussion Titled: "Make your Choice"). Two people cannot have the same topic in the same class (unless they are partners).
G: Your goal is to clearly understand and outline some of the effects of the Cold War.
R: You are a representative from your country and you are presenting to the UN for funding.
A: Your audience is the UN (your peers and Mr. O).
S: The situation is that your area is in dire need of additional funds to address some issues that were caused by the Cold War upon your country.
P: Create an project that supports your presentation to the UN.
S: This will be graded based on the rubrics below, and based on the IB Criterion A for a grade.

Almost every other nation is an eligible choice, however, the following are solid choices in that they will have solid connections to the Cold War. These are also the countries that are more likely to be referenced in tests about the period and will help with a general understanding about how the Cold War is affecting us today.
