Purpose of Office Team Leadership:
On a personal, core level, I'm bought into the philosophy that "many hands make light work." So the idea of office teams was birthed out of an idea that when everyone does a very small amount of effort, it can make something big. I think it's gone really well and our offices are a huge blessing, they run really well, and our staff culture has been pretty great to be a part of. I know we all benefit from this.
But a by-product that I didn't realize in this was that the office teams themselves create environments for training/leadership/development to happen.
So through prayer and many conversations we have selected a new wave of leaders for the next season of office teams:
Garrison Winner - Supplies
Cole Simpson - Operations
Jacob Kirby - Events
Megan Rife - Customer Service (internal & external "customers")
All of these folks are people who I really want to get an opportunity to work closely with as we think that not only are they commendable people who we want leading so that they can be copied but also think these folk shave a high ceiling in leadership and can see them being key future leaders in our church fam. Office team leadership is an opportunity for training and growth in this area, while the stakes are still relatively low.
And best of all, they get to try new stuff to see if it works, which I'm very excited about. We are working through all the teams and how responsibilities will break down, but just wanted to give you a heads up to keep an eye out for this after break. I'll be talking about it at Residency Class on Tuesday (11/29) and you can feel free to ask me questions then as well.
