Nest Thermostat Instructions

The Nest Thermostat’s temperature screen shows you the target temperature range that you’ve set, meaning the fan or heat will automatically kick in throughout the day so that the temperature stays in that range. The range we have set is between 68 and 73 degrees.

If you want to change the temperature of the office:

1. Walk up to the Nest and it will light up

2. Turn the dial the direction you would like to change the temperature (turn towards the right if you want to make the office cooler, turn towards the left if you want to make the office warmer)

3. It will light up either the lower number in the range- 68, or the higher number- 73, (depending on which way you turned the dial) and say “press to change”

4. Press down to change

5. Then move the dial to the desired temperature

6. Press down to set

Every day at 6pm the thermostat will automatically go to economy mode. If you have a night event, make sure to adjust the thermostat so you are comfortable. Then it will revert back to economy mode at midnight every night. At 6 am every work day it will begin our work temperature (73/68) so our temperature will stay in this range during the work day.

To access the nest remotely (when you would like to adjust the temperature from a remote location in advance of an event):
