‘Turning Challenges into Opportunities’

On July 20th, 2024, Laxman Public School organised a workshop titled ‘Effective Classroom Management Strategies: Turning Challenges into Opportunities’ as part of the in-service training programme for the teachers. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Head of School, Mr. D.N. Tiwari, for organizing this workshop for the teachers. His initiative and support were instrumental in making this event a success.

The event was honoured by the presence of Ms. Seema B. Mishra, the Vice Principal, who warmly welcomed all the esteemed dignitaries.

The workshop was organised in collaboration with Career Launcher and featured Mr. R. Shiva Kumar, Chief Academic Officer of the CL Group, and Ms. Ramanjit Ghuman, Academic Advisor for CUET with CL, as the resource persons.

Workshop Overview:

The primary aim of the workshop was to equip educators with practical strategies to manage classroom dynamics, foster a positive learning environment, and turn everyday challenges into opportunities for growth and development.

Workshop Objectives:

1. To provide teachers with effective classroom management techniques.

2. To help educators identify and address common classroom challenges.

3. To encourage the development of a positive and conducive learning atmosphere.

4. To share best practices and innovative strategies for maintaining student engagement and discipline.

Key Sessions and Highlights:

- Johari Window Model: Mr. Shiva Kumar introduced the Johari Window model to help teachers understand and improve their self-awareness and interpersonal relationships. This model was used to explore how teachers perceive themselves and how they are perceived by their students, enabling them to identify areas for personal and professional growth.

- Practical Case Studies: Ms. Ramanjit Ghuman presented practical case studies illustrating common classroom challenges, such as managing disruptive behaviour, addressing diverse learning needs, and maintaining student engagement. Teachers participated in group discussions to analyse these scenarios and propose effective solutions based on their experiences and insights.

The interactive session provided an opportunity for teachers to collaborate and share best practices. Through group activities and problem-solving exercises, participants exchanged ideas and developed innovative strategies to tackle classroom management challenges. This session fostered a sense of community and collective learning among the teachers.
