'Building Resilience through Physical Health'

 

On July 20th, 2024, Laxman Public School organised a workshop titled ‘Building Resilience through Physical Health’ as part of the in-service training programme for the teachers. The workshop was led by Dr. Chakshu Bansal, the founder of Arunalaya Healthcare and Physioneeds Academy. Dr. Bansal is renowned for her expertise in physical health and wellness, making her an ideal facilitator for this important topic. She holds three world records in her field and is the author of six internationally recognised books.

 

A special thanks to our Head of School, Mr. D.N. Tiwari, for his support and encouragement in organising this workshop. The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Seema B. Mishra, the Vice Principal whose inspiring words played a pivotal role to the event's success.

The primary goal of the workshop was to educate teachers on the importance of physical health and its direct impact on resilience and performance in the classroom. The session emphasised the principle that "precaution is better than cure," encouraging proactive health management.

1. Preventive Health Measures:

-        The importance of adopting a proactive approach to health.

-        Strategies for maintaining overall well-being to prevent common ailments.

 

2. Treatment of Common Pains:

-        Headache: Techniques for identifying causes and preventive measures.

-        Back Pain: Ergonomic practices and exercises to alleviate and prevent discomfort.

-        Posture: The significance of proper posture and exercises to maintain it.

-        Knee and Leg Pain: Exercises and lifestyle changes to manage and prevent pain in these areas.

 

3. Live Demonstrations:

-        Dr. Bansal demonstrated a variety of exercises aimed at addressing the common pains discussed.

-        Participants practised these exercises, ensuring they could integrate them into their daily routines.
