Organizers: Laxman Public School in collaboration with the Special Police Unit for Women and Children of Delhi Police.

 

Objective: The primary objective of the self-defense training program organized by Laxman Public School was to empower the girl students through martial arts training. With the support of the Special Police Unit for Women and Children of Delhi Police, the program aimed to equip the participants with basic self-defense techniques and strategies to protect themselves from potential threats such as anti-social elements, criminals, and snatchers. Additionally, the training aimed to enhance the self-confidence of the participants, thereby reducing feelings of Insecurity and vulnerability.

 

Overview: The self-defence training program spanned from April 15, 2024, to April 26, 2024, with sessions held daily from 08:15 am to 09:00 am. The program targeted the girl students of Laxman Public School, providing them with valuable skills and knowledge to defend themselves effectively in various situations.

 

Content: The training sessions covered a range of topics, including:1. Basic self-defense techniques: Participants were taught fundamental martial arts moves and maneuvers designed to repel attackers and create opportunities for escape.2. Utilization of everyday items for self-defense: The program emphasized the resourcefulness of using common objects such as 'Dupatta,' pens, handbags, and other items as makeshift defensive tools.3. Psychological empowerment: Beyond physical techniques, the training focused on building the mental resilience and self-confidence of the participants, enabling them to confront threats with assertiveness and composure.

 

 Methodology: The training program employed a hands-on approach, with experienced instructors from the Special Police Unit for Women and Children of Delhi Police leading interactive sessions. Practical demonstrations, role-playing exercises, and scenario-based simulations were utilized to ensure effective learning and skill development among the participants.
