Reconciliation
First Reconciliation has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 10th at 7:00 p.m. Please bring your child to the cafeteria by 6:50 p.m. on this evening. Parents may then find a seat in the church. Class 2A will process in together and will sit on "Mary's" side (left) of the church.
Your child will be required to recite the Prayer of Sorrow for an oral test and religion grade on November 3rd. Please continue to study this at home, and we will continue to practice during school.
Red Ribbon Week
We will celebrate Red Ribbon Week with the following themes and additions to the school uniform:
Monday- Sock it to Drugs- Silly Socks
Tuesday- Put a Cap on Drugs- Hat Day
Wednesday- Tie Down drugs- Wear a Tie
Thursday- Team Up Against Drugs- Non-Uniform Day- Sports Team Jersey
Friday- Don’t Fall for Drugs- Non-Uniform Day- Fall Colors
Clothing Drive
Please send gently used clothing, coats and blankets for the St. Vincent DePaul Clothing Drive to benefit the less fortunate. A list of new items needed was sent home in the Wednesday envelope last week.
One Vision Credit Union
Paula Metzer from the One Vision Credit Union spoke to the students about saving and spending habits. She encouraged all students to contribute to a savings account to earn monthly interest.
We are "Batty over Ms. J.!
Ms. J. from the Floyd County Soil and Conservation District taught the children about bats. She presented numerous interesting facts about these flying mammals and brought a real preserved bat encased in glass!
Kickball Game
The class earned a kickball game for a classroom incentive, and we had a ball playing together! Everyone had the opportunity to kick 2 times.
