Pumpkin Seed Stories

Check out our descriptive pumpkin seed stories outside the classroom. The students used exact word choice in addition to sequencing words to describe the adventures of a little pumpkin seed.

Spirited Students

Our spirited students left a ghostly imprint in the classroom!

Fall Celebration

The children had an afternoon of monster math, pumpkin poems, and a jack o'lantern art project before settling down with cookies, pirates' booty, treat bags, juice boxes, and a Casper the Ghost movie. Ms. Bricker surveyed the class on their favorite candy bars and graphed the results. Then the kids were permitted to eat their favorite candy bars, compliments of Ms. Bricker.

Father Dan's Classroom Visit

Father Dan visited our classroom last Friday and showed the children how they could pray with their parents. Ask your child to pray with you! He also discussed Reconciliation and the collection of prayer cards for First Communion. Students should have at least 24 prayer cards and bulletins by the end of April.

Charlotte's Web

Grades K-4 will travel to Providence to view the production of Charlotte's Web on Monday, November 9th, at 10:00 a.m. We are currently reading the book in class and will compare the book to the play. Please return the field trip permission form on Tuesday.

Upon returning to school on the afternoon of November 9th, the K-2 primary grades will have classroom rotations with Charlotte's Web activities and a snack. I found the most adorable pink pig cupcakes on Pinterest! Do we have any cupcake bakers in the class?

Reconciliation

First Reconciliation has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 10th at 7:00 p.m. Please bring your child to the cafeteria by 6:50 p.m. on this evening. Parents may then find a seat in the church. Class 2A will process in together and will sit on "Mary's" side (left) of the church. Your child will be required to recite the Prayer of Sorrow for an oral test and religion grade on November 3rd. Please continue to study this at home, and we will continue to practice during school.
