Reconciliation

Father Dan and the visiting priests complimented the students on their excellent preparation for the celebration of First Reconciliation. Thank you, parents, for supporting your child on this special sacramental day. Now the children can shine brightly like their candles, going forth as lights of the world for all to see!

Guest Visitor

Our church seminarian, Michael, stopped by the classroom to chat with the children about their First Reconciliation experiences. Michael will be present and actively involved during the First Communion Family Faith Formation Day in February. The kids enjoyed his visit and had an endless supply of questions ready for him!

Science Habitat Projects

WOW! The habitat projects were absolutely amazing this year! I am truly impressed with the amount of creativity and hard work evident in each diorama. The students also did an excellent job of orally presenting their habitats to the class. Feel free to peruse the projects on display in the school library.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Service Project

What is the greatest gift we can share during the season of Advent? Spreading Christmas joy and love will be a priceless experience for the first and second grade students when they have the opportunity to visit elderly residents of the Bennett Place Assisted Living Community in New Albany. The children will joyfully perform Christmas songs with animated motions and will invite the residents to sing with them. The students will interact with the residents afterwards by presenting them with handmade crafts and small token gift bags.

The primary students will establish a relationship with the residents in November by making turkey handprint placemats and tabletop turkey decorations for their Thanksgiving dinners.

Detailed information with a permission form will be sent home in paper form this week.
