Christmas Caroling/Library Field Trip
We spread plenty of Christmas cheer and smiles as we sang to residents of the Bennett Place Assisted Living Community and Autumn Woods Healthcare Campus! Students were well-behaved and enjoyed their visit to the New Albany Public Library for lunch, storytime, a craft, and a tour.
Advent Service Project
Mrs. Lyle assisted the students in wrapping jeans, shirts, boots, in addition to a DVD, nail polish, and make-up for our Angel Tree girls. I am so proud of the students for doing chores to earn money for this worthwhile project! I pray that the kids will remember the joy of helping others and will continue to be lifelong givers.
Christmas Program
Students should wear dress Christmas clothing for the Christmas Program on Thursday, December 15th. Performances are at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Please meet in the classroom by 6:40 p.m. for the evening show.
Science
The students learned how to use a simple machine such as a lever, aka hammer, to remove a nail from a board. The kids practiced using force while keeping the fulcrum point intact.
