So to help for the future we created a group collaborative doc and remembered every step we took in using the tools and made a guide for other people, staff and pupils to use. It's attached as a file to this blog post. Writing the guide together helped us to learn the steps and will help us to carry on with our tasks.
After the first session before break, we all realised that actually it would have been really helpful to have had some instructions on how to use the video recorder tool and camera settings in advance. We did spend a bit of time faffing around with settings!
We had wonderful creations which we will share when finished! The cartoon included helpful advice from a Penguin!
The P7 pupils in Alvie today took advantage of the nice sunny weather today and worked outside using their Chromebooks in small groups with the P6 pupils. The WiFi stretches to the playground so they had no difficulty using them for the collaborative task.
The task was to create a Health Campaign about using 'technology with a healthy balance', they could choose which tools to use to create their campaign which they firstly sketched out on paper. Two groups used a video tool called Online Voice Recorder which also has a video facility and one also used Powtoon, a cartoon creator. They could also use an external webcam and video editing tool.
