Experiment Write-Ups
The S3 Elective Science class have been working on experimental write-ups using Google Docs with Miss Seymour and Mr da Costa. The task was to work collaboratively on the document to produce a full report, and the challenge being that they weren't allowed to sit next to the person they were working with or to call across the room. This meant that they had to use the chat function of the Google Docs to discuss who was working on which part. Initially, they struggled as if they both tried to work on the Aim at the same time they would be deleting each others work so there had to be discussion of who did what. Please see some examples attached. The pupils are currently improving their reports by sharing comments. The Draftback playback function shows a wee video of how the document was created so added another layer of assessment of pupil's participation in the task.

Google Classroom and Google Forms
Mr Nisbet and Mr da Costa's S2 Science class tried out Google forms as a means of responding to multiple choice quiz questions on their Electricity topic. The link for the form was sent through Google Classroom as an 'assignment' and a Google Sheet of the responses was generated and saved to the class folder, which could then be accessed by both of their teachers!
