Every Open Enrollment Period in October, employees can sign up or change their AFLAC Supplemental Coverage through the AFLAC representatives ONLY. Prior coverage will remain in effect and unchanged if you do nothing.
Available coverage is:
CANCER CARE: Tax-free cash benefits paid for screening, diagnosis, treatments, travel, surgeries, experimental and much more.
Critical Illness can be added to Cancer Care coverage as a rider.
SHORT TERM DISABILITY*: Monthly benefit above and beyond any sick bank should you be sick, injured, or out on maternity leave and unable to work.
ACCIDENT: Tax-free cash benefits for treatments due to an injury including emergency room visits, hospital stays, physical therapy, and follow-up visits.
HOSPITALIZATION AND MEDICAL: Tax-free cash benefits (including initial admittance benefit of up to $2,000) for emergency room visits, hospital stays (including for child birth) and outpatient procedures.
Can include doctor visits, MRI/CT Scans, blood work, X-ray and ambulance rides.
