Overview
These options set your global preferences for CabinetSense. Note that the final six (6) options, boxed in yellow, will only be available if you have the CNC version of CabinetSense and are running on a Windows Operating System.
Dictionary Validation (deprecated)
There are times when the Sketchup Dynamic Dictionary is in need of repair. By default, all CabinetSense components have their dictionary entries validated and repaired. You have the option of turning this option on for
NOTE: This item is no longer visible in the dialog and it's value is always set to CabinetSense components.
Make Unique (deprecated)
CabinetSense can automatically manage the components in your model and ensure that each one is unique from all the others. The advantage of keeping them unique is that any change you make to one component is not made to others that are copies of this one. By Default, CabinetSense is set to automatically manage uniqueness for all Cabinetsense components. You have the option to set this to:

Validate Component Redraw (deprecated)
Editing components can sometimes cause Sketchup to lose it's place within the sub-component hierarchy with the results that your component appears to fly apart. CabinetSense has been programmed to detect some of thes situations and will fix the referencing problems before they visualize. Unfortunately, we are unable to detect all of these conditions and this problem may occur from time to time.
You can usually fix the situation by clicking on the part that has "flown" away. If this fails to fix it, you can save your work, exit and restart Sketchup. Nothing in your model will be lost and the problem is only a visual display issue.
One of the ways that can cause this problem to occur is if you use the outliner to go several layers deep into your component. You can avoid this by drilling through each successively deeper layer.
NOTE: This item is no longer visible in the dialog and is always active.
CSV Delimiter
The character entered in this field will be used as the field delimeter in all of the CabinetSense csv exports.
Small Part Width
Some shops cut smaller pieces from scraps. The small part width is used to split cutlists into two categories:
CabinetSense will append a "-s" to the end of a parts material name when it qualifies as a small part. You can then take your cutlist of small parts to the shop floor and cut them separate from your regular part list.
Auto Renumber Parts
CabinetSense will automatically generate parts numbers for CS aware components when you have this option set to yes. See Renumber Parts for more information.
Model Integrity Checking
CabinetSense can validate your CabinetSense components to ensure that the integrity of each component has not been compromised. It can perform two levels of checking for you
You do not have to fix any issues highlighted... but fair warning is given that your machining or other exports may not be correct.
Model integrity checking can be requested via the Verify Model Integrity menu item.
Model integrity is also checked automatically before running any export requests.
Part # Prefix
When auto-numbering your parts, CabinetSense will use the contents of this field to prefix your part number. Leave this field empty if you do not want to use a prefix. See Change Prefix for more information.
Part # Separator
When auto-numbering your parts, this field will be used to separate your prefix and numeric part number. Leave this field empty if you do not want to use a separator.
Scene Management
You can have CabinetSense manage your scenes and layers for you by setting this option on (he default is off). Go here for an in-depth look at Scene Management.
Scene management is model specific... meaning that each model remembers if scene management is turn on or off.
Preference choices are:
Component Alignment?
You can have CabinetSense align your components for you by setting this option on.
Auto Update Scene
CabinetSense will manage your scenes for you if you set this option to Yes. Scene management involves updating all of the scene properties for you when you make a change in the current scene.
Default setting is off.
Explode Menus
By Default all of the CabinetSense menus are created as sub-menus of the main CabinetSense menu. Setting this option to Yes will bring all of the sub-menus up one level and will be directly accessible from the Plugins Menu.
Additionally, for Windows Clients, the CabinetSense toolbar will also explode into multiple toolbars when this option is set to Yes.
Pre-Mill?
If you use a pre-mill station on your edgebander, CabinetSense can make allowances for removing material that is a different thickness than the edgeband that you are applying. For example, if you want to use a 0.5mm edgeband but wish to take off 2mm at the pre-mill station, simply set your edgeband thickness to 0.5mm and your Pre-Mill Allowance to 2mm and CabinetSense will oversize the part accordingly. Choose between:
Pre-mill Allowance
The amount that will be added to each edge that qualifies for pre-milling.
Primary Units
The unit of Measure (inches or millimeters) that will be your default when entering dimensions. Choose from:
Imperial Format
Choose one of the following display formats
Metric Format
Choose One of the following display formats
Show Secondary Units
You can choose whether you want to show the alternate unit of measure in the field with your primary unit.
Choose from:
Export Units
The unit of measure that will be used for exporting your data. Choose from:
NOTE: please see Primary Units (above) for descriptions.
NOTE: CabinetSense uses 9 decimal places of precision for DXF exports and 6 decimal places of precision for everything else.
Add BOM to Cutlist?
You can send the Bill of Material list to Cutlist Plus and use that product for producing estimates and inventory control. It accomplishes this by adding the BOM entries to the Cutlist export file as “other items”. Cutlist Plus uses this data to retrieve pricing from its Raw Materials database.
See Cutlist Plus Integration for more information.
Default value is No.
Wall Miters?
The CabinetSense Wall tool can miter connected walls or leave as un-mitered.
Default value is Yes.
User Profile
The user profile setting controls which attributes are available in the component options dialog. choose between:
Default is Engineer.
