Machining Template
The machining database can specify different ways of machining the same component. Each new method is saved as a different template. You may have a job that requires that door hinges are placed differently or that your dowel pattern is different. You can setup a template specific to that job and use it in your model.
There are various places that you can specify the template to use in your model... and where you place it can affect the outcome of how your parts are machined. The model has a template and that template is inherited by all parts until it is is overridden. As long as the child that has declared a new template has the focus, the new template is in effect (unless it too is replaced by one it's children). When the child is done processing, the template reverts back to the parents template.
You can declare a machining template in:
Machining Profile
CabinetSense can also produce MDF routered doors. The profiles and machining instructions are declared in the machining database and you attach the profile name to the door, drawer front or panel component(s) that you want routered. You can globally declare a profile to use in the project component. The same rules for inheritance are used as defined above. See Door Machining for more information.
