If you are ever absent, please look for the day's agendas, activities, and assignments here. I will also try to upload any major worksheets you will need for your projects. Please do not rely on this for your notes-- you will still need to take notes in class. While I will post some materials from class, you need to see me for any missing notes or discussions, and you should keep a section for notes in your three-ring binder.

Office Hours and Contact Information:
Please feel free to drop in if you need extra help or if you have any questions. I usually arrive at school by 7:25, and I usually stay until 3:45. Wednesday after school is the English Department PLC, so I will be unavailable at that time.
Best time to reach me: If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to e-mail at any time. I check my email periodically throughout the day. Please also feel free to call me at my school phone. Depending on the time of day, I may be teaching and therefore won't be able to answer the phone. In this case, please leave a voicemail with your name and number and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Mr. Jourdan
I have been teaching in the English Department here in Byron since 2012.
Prior to Byron, I taught in Bedford, MA for eight years. I also taught in the Woodbury, Burnsville, and Forest Lake schools.
I earned my M.A. in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, and I earned my B.A. from St. Olaf College with English and Norwegian majors, and a minor in Education.
