College Now Literature 120 focuses on reading literature at the university level. The thematic focus of this Literature 120 class is in the dynamic interaction between Literature and Society. According to the SMSU guidelines, this class will cover in-depth the genres of drama, poetry, the novel, and nonfiction. The readings are complex, controversial, and will require close-reading skills; students are expected to fulfill all readings in preparation for class discussion and activities. Some basics of literary theory will also be covered to supplement the readings.
