This course contains elements of research, writing, vocabulary, and speech. Students will study communication skills, verbal and nonverbal and give a variety of speeches including introduction, informative, persuasive, and demonstration; others may be added as time allows. Additionally, students will review research techniques and MLA format, as well as continue work on -portfolios. Each week, students will be responsible for vocabulary, using a list of misused and confused words.
