Assessments for Math
Both of our placement tests are offered at ACC Testing Centers, at a variety of campuses.
TSI Math Assessment
The TSI Math Assessment is used to obtain a "TSI Complete" status and to place into any corequisite or first year college credit course.
Corequisite courses:
Any courses starting with MATD or NCBM offered in as a paired course with one of the following MATH courses.
First-year college credit courses:
See the TSI Assessment schedule by campus to prepare to take your TSI Math assessment as soon as possible.
Advanced Math Assessment
The Advanced Math Assessment (aka Higher Level Math Assessment) is for placement in the STEM or Business path higher than a first year course
There is no placement test for courses higher than those listed. If an entering student wishes to start at a course higher in the sequence, such as for example Calculus II, the student must have college credit for the prerequisite course (e.g. Calculus I), or the equivalent. We do not accept placement assessments from other institutions.
