MATH 1324 corequisite with NCBM 0224: A path to complete developmental math requirements and Math for Business and Economics in one semester
This course pair provides students a path to finish their developmental math requirements AND Math for Business and Economics in one semester. Students take the MATH credit course, which is paired with a two-hour support course (NCBM 0224). Because the support course runs concurrently with Math for Business and Economics, students are expected to complete weekly lessons over several due dates throughout the semester. During the support course, students will have a math instructor for assistance with the lessons.
Students will attend class 5 hours a week, two hours for NCBM 0224 and three hours for MATH 1324. The support course meets before or after the paired Math for Business and Economics course.
This is a 5 hour course - three hours for MATH 1324 and two hours for NCBM 0224. Students must sign up and pay for both sections. The cost of an electronic textbook is included with the cost of tuition.
In the support course, students participate in lessons covering prerequisite topics section-by-section in time for their Math for Business and Economics lectures. These lessons may be in the form of a traditional lecture (with or without guided notes) or completion of a group activity. Review of content already discussed in the MATH course may also be conducted in preparation for the Math for Business and Economics exams.
Weekly assignments and exams must be completed for the MATH 1324 course. Additionally, there will be a developmental algebra exit exam students must pass in order to earn a C or higher in the NCBM 0224 support course and become TSI Complete in Mathematics. Weekly homework for NCBM 0224 will cover the topics discussed in that class. Instructors may assign online homework to replace a portion of the written homework, so students must have access to a computer and internet access.

There is a Prerequisite Review for these course pairings. Use this to test your background knowledge.
