Elementary Statistics with Support Corequisite
MATH 1342 corequisite with NCBM 0142: A path to complete developmental math requirements and Elementary Statistics in one semester
What is this course all about?
NCBM 0142 is a course designed to support students as they progress through a traditional MATH 1342 course. Students will receive just-in-time remediation on prerequisite skills, as well as extra practice on the MATH 1342 material and help with study skills.
Meeting Times
Students will attend class 4 hours a week, one hour for NCBM 0142 and three hours for MATH 1342. The support course meets before or after the paired Elementary Statistics course.
How much does this cost?
This is a 4 hour course - three hours for MATH 1342 and one hour for NCBM 0142. Students must sign up and pay for both sections. The cost of an electronic textbook is included with the cost of tuition.
What about homework and testing?
Homework and exams will be done throughout the MATH 1342 course. There will not be additional exams for the NCBM 0142 course, though daily classwork will be completed and graded.

TSI complete or exempt students who need/want extra support while taking MATH 1342
Students who have unsuccessfully attempted MATH 1342

Need additional developmental math instruction?
If your math placement is not near TSI complete (College Ready) or would like more than a 1-hour support course, then MATD 0342/MATH 1342 (6 hours) Statistics Express is the correct corequisite to meet your needs. Statistics Express provides a more robust integration of just-in-time remediation and has additional supports, including a second instructor in the classroom.
