Friday Feb 15

Today we:

  • Wrote out timed essay using our outlines and turned it in!

Homework:

No homework unless you didn't do the timed essay in class today...In that case, throw a timer on for 50 minutes and handwrite your essay...bring to school on Tuesday with rubric stapled to the front.

Enjoy the three days off!

Thursday Feb 14

Today we:

  • Turned in source 5 analysis sheet
  • Today we are ONLY outlining for the essays for tomorrow!!! Bring your outline with you to class tomorrow
          • You have two options for writing an essay on Friday:
    • Option 1: Synthesis Argument Essay (Please see attached pdf with prompt and rubric)
    • You may also go online for this option and find another perspective on this issue you feel would benefit your synthesis essay---no need to do an analysis, just print it and bring it to class tomorrow.--You will need 3 sources for the paper---5 paragraphs


  • Option 2: "Free" argument essay (NO Sources used)
  • NO PROMPT___BUT READ THIS!!! You may choose to create an argument on anything that is contestable (usually these are issues dealing with society, culture, or ethics)---You cannot use any outside sources...the information should all come from your head--THERE SHOULD BE SOME EXIGENCY WITH THIS TOPIC.
