Completed a timed 1 hour multiple choice test (cannot be made up at home)

Using the white handout (see below) and a new rubric and checklist, analyze your argument/synthesis essay on a Google doc, print it out---follow directions closely on the white handout--Due tomorrow!
Wednesday March 6
Today we:
Turned in self analysis for Thatcher essay
Completed a timed essay (Argument or Synthesis) and turned it in

Tuesday March 5
Today we:
Completed Passage "4" for multiple choice and filled out a scantron
Went over answers for passage 3 (from last Friday)
Went over how to analyze the Thatcher essay --using checklist and directions (see attached)
Homework:
Complete a self-analysis and fill out the check list for Thatcher essay--you will bring ALL of it to class tomorrow (DUE TOMORROW or late)

Monday March 4---we have a packed week this week...come to school
Today we:
Wrote a TIMED rhetorical analysis in class and turned in
Got back argument essays and discussed some of the issues
(free argument: soapboxing, no examples, expository more than argument, weak arguments, weak topic sentences, lack of clarification of exigency or "why this matters", did not think of the audience of opposition...
(synthesis argument: poor synthesis of sources, unclear discussion of issues, ...)
