What about receiving mail and / or courier?

We deliver mail in the magazine holder at the entrance. If you are expecting mail, make sure you check it when you come back home.

If receiving courier deliveries or pizza, make sure you specify "side door" in your instructions. The delivery person might not know that the doorbell button rings in the landlord's part of the house, so I strongly suggest you use the wireless doorbell provided - which can usually be found either in the living room or the laundry room. The button used to be glued to the storm door handle until someone unglued it. If you plan on using it, please let me know and I will glue the button to the handle again. You could simply add 2 AAA batteries to the receiver and then take it with you - it will play a pleasant melody when the button outside is pressed. After that, just specify in delivery instructions the side door (and eventually the button on the handle).

Please note that you cannot check our main mailbox yourself. We had issues with mail being mis-delivered in the past and when we complained, CanadaPost blamed it on our tenants. To avoid such problems in the future, we ask that you do not check our mailbox but rather alert us whenever you are expecting important mail.
