Can we use your composter?

The composter is the black plastic bin in the backyard where we throw some of our food waste. Using bacteria and heat from the sun it transforms waste into very good organic soil for our garden.

You can use the composter as long as you observe the following rules. Otherwise, please use the green bin, as explained.

Should you choose to do so, you may leave all food waste with the stickers removed, without any plastic, rubber, meat, grease, bones or hard shells such as cherry, avocado or apricot seeds. Please do not compost chemical foods (soft drinks, candies, sweets). You can however deposit such items in the green bin in a plastic bag with no restrictions. Please note that mixing such waste with regular garbage will result in raccoons raiding it and spilling it everywhere on the floor.
