OBS 2 Part 7: Total War between Cool Guy and Monster
Monster was proving to be a more difficult opponent than Cool Guy originally thought. Further, Cool Guy ended up fighting a three-front war: one against Monster, another against Denix, and finally one against University midterms. However, as the originator of the OBSverse, Cool Guy was more than capable of handling such a feat. Going on the offensive, Cool Guy's Omega Task Force located a fleet of Monster's recently constructed gunships and unleashed hell. This was how all future superimposing was to be done: detailed destruction of the enemy's ships by showing them in pieces.
After Cool Guy's Advanced Tactical Fighters ripped through Monster's gunship fleet, they headed straight for his capital ship. Due to the fighters' unmatched speed and extreme firepower, Monster's capital ship stood no chance. The Omega Task Force switched to pulse fire and pounded the capital ship into oblivion.
Despite the spectacular damage, Monster's capital ship turned out to be a decoy in order to lure Cool Guy into a trap.
The gunship fleet was supposed to surprise Cool Guy's fighter squadron and eliminate it; however, since Monster's initial plan was unsuccessful, he had a backup. After Cool Guy's Omega task force jumped back into hyperspace, one of Monster's destroyers phased into real-space and fired a high-yield warhead that followed them in, wiping them out.
Before Monster's destroyer was able to phase out of and escape, Cool Guy's Aurora arrives on scene and opens fire, destroying it and all of Monster's support ships in the sector.
