OBS 2 Part 5: The Rise of a Monster.
So far in the war, Cool Guy has gone unopposed. Despite launching devastating strikes on Sean, E1701, and Tassalhoff, no member has returned the favor. This all changed with the arrival of Monster104, who boldly declared that old timers don't scare him. Monster would turn out to be a relentless opponent; he would never give up and his OBS skills were quite strong for a newbie. Monster's first action was to launch an attack on one of Cool Guy's Angel Fire ships.
Monster wasn't content with just waging war against Cool Guy, hist next act was to obliterate Douglas Nicol. Targeting Douglas's ground forces, Monster launched an orbital bombardment that wiped Douglas's mech assault team.
Monster's initial strike was not without it's problems though. Evidence of a successful strike was difficult to come by, as Monster had communication errors. This prompted Peacekeeper Cmdr to unleash the Red X Fleet of Doom. Shortly thereafter, all participants in the war doubled there efforts in making sure everything was properly posted.
