OBS 2 Part 6: Cool Guy Strikes Back.
The war between Monster and Cool Guy took center stage in the second OBS war. With no other veteran possessing the industrial capability to repel Monster's onslaught, it was up to Cool Guy to smack this newb down. Kosh, the one who initiated this war, was nowhere to be found and the other OBS veterans chose to remain isolated. Cool Guy sent in two Angel Fire's, the Archangel and Hellfire, to destroy Monster's fleet as two fighters towed the damaged ship away.
Initially, it appeared as if Monster had been obliterated.
However, the results were not as Cool Guy hoped. Monster's frigate was disabled, but his destroyer suffered only minor damage and his capital ship remained unscathed. This was a rare mistake from Cool Guy. By not rendering a more detailed image of the aftermath, Monster was able to finish the outcome on his terms.
Monster capitalized on this and launched a surprise counter-attack. His capital ship and destroyer returned fire and obliterated Archangel and Hellfire.
However, before Monster's attack force obliterated the Archangel and Hellfire, they were able to get off two particle blasts and finished the job.
