OBSERVING COMET HONDA 45P

OBSERVING COMET HONDA 45P

Comet Honda 45P is now visible near the east horizon before sunset.

Go out tomorrow morning before sunrise from 5 AM or earlier facing an open view of the east horizon.

The star maps above show the positions for Tanzania just before sunrise from 5 AM.

Look first for bright star (Altair) that just rises at 5 AM and loon 30 degrees above the east horizon. There is another bright star (Vega) to the left that rises before Altair.

Locate Saturn as guide as shown in the above starmap and look to its left.

Use binoculars to search for it but in dark sky away from cities you can see it as a fuzzy patch.

After tomorrow, the Moon will be in the sky before sunrise so difficult to see the faint comet.
