Its shape changes day by day as well its position in the sky. Each passing day after a New Moon, the Moon is seen about 12 degrees further up and further east day after day until after 7 days it is half shape and seen overhead at sunset, and after 14 days seen as a Full Moon rising in the east at sunset.
