School Security System

The security system at Valley Park Elementary consists of a camera and buzzer/intercom system with a locked door mechanism.

All doors are locked, including the front door. The buzzer/intercom button at the front of the building must be pressed to notify school personnel that someone wishes to enter the building.

Please note that parents/guardians need to ensure that a student arriving late to school gains access into the building by using the buzzer/intercom system.

When using the intercom, please identify your name, the student’s name, and the reason for access.

Everyone entering or exiting the building must report to the office, sign in or out in the log, and have a visitor’s badge or staff ID badge. Please be sure to bring your state issued driver’s license EACH time you enter the building, to ensure proper identification can be made.

Please note, dismissal for morning Pre-K and afternoon Pre-K arrival occurs in fron of the building near the ramp. There is no need to buzz into the building; please wait outside for morning Pre-K dismissal and afternoon Pre-K arrival.

Thank you for your understanding and your assistance with the system, which increases the security of the school and the safety of our students.
