Beekeeper's Corner: Message from Miss Jordan

Dear Parents,

We will be celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week this month and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff members at Valley Park for their dedicated service to our school community. They truly care about our students and work diligently to ensure students receive an excellent education. Thank you, staff!

Miss Bobbie-Ann Jordan, Principal

School Climate Survey

We need your help by completing our School Climate Survey. Please complete the survey below and submit the survey by May 15, 2018. We appreciate your input! Thank you!

Morning Arrival

Just a kindly reminder that students should not be dropped off for morning arrival until Valley Park staff are on duty. To ensure the safety of your child, please do not drop off your child unsupervised. Also, please remember that students who arrive to school late (after 9:10 a.m.) should report to the front door. Please make sure of your child’s safe entry into the building. If you have any questions, please contact the main office.

Race for Education

On May 16th, Valley Park students will be participating in our annual Race for Education fundraiser. This jog-a-thon is one of our most successful fundraisers during the school year. Each student will be receiving a packet shortly to collect sponsors names and addresses.

Just as a reminder, the community is invited to come watch the students “race for education” on May 16th. Please see the Race day schedule for your child’s class listed to the right. On race day, all visitors should report directly to the back field area.

Goodies with the Grands

Valley Park will be celebrating our grandparents with a special night of Goodies with the Grands on the evening of May 15th. It will include special treats, photo opportunities, and a sneak preview of our art/book fair. Invitations will be sent home with students soon. We look forward to another wonderful evening of celebrating all of our supportive grandparents!

Warm Weather Attire

Guidelines for student attire are located in the Parent Handbook. Spaghetti straps, deep-cut arm tank tops, and ultra short shorts are not permitted. Skirts, dresses and shorts of appropriate length are permitted. They must be long enough to reach 2 inches below fingertip length (past mid-thigh). Midriff (bellies) must be covered with clothing at all times. The wearing of flip flops and platform shoes is discouraged and are worn at student’s own risk. Students participating in physical education must wear appropriate footwear for health and safety reasons.
