Clock Timing Predictions

In real-world design projects, engineering analysis is done before hardware is built due to the high cost of making hardware errors. Accordingly, emphasis is placed on catching analysis errors.

In MAE3 we challenge each students to make as accurate prediction of their clock timing as possible before they measure it!

Step 1: Prediction

At least 3 days before your final clock report is due, enter your best predicted time it will take the escapement wheel to make one revolution.

Step 2: Measurement

By midnight of the day your final clock report is due, enter the actual measured time it takes the escapement wheel to make one revolution.
