Despite game audiences being a diverse and inclusive group, the UK games industry is dominated by white males: only 14% of its workforce is female, 5% from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups, falling to 9% female, 2% BME in the technical roles for which iGGi trains PhDs. iGGi is committed to promoting a culture shift within the games industry and games research which addresses this inequality.
