You may have read through this guide and felt that you have already tried everything and are still feeling down about your abilities or your work. In that case maybe ask yourself: if a friend of yours told you they felt like this, what would you say?
You'd probably say it was okay. Many of us have this weird tendency to be much harder on ourselves than our friends.Â
The concept behind thinking this way about yourself - like you're evaluating a friend - is called "self compassion". It's a worthwhile perspective to adapt, or at least try out.
