There will be no further modules delivered, as iGGi is not taking in any more researchers as of the 2023/2024 academic year. However, module details are available on the following wiki pages:
I can't attend a scheduled module, can I take it at another time?
iGGi modules are mandatory and you are expected to attend every session. However, occasionally things do happen which cannot be avoided or otherwise managed. In these instances, talk to your local iGGi training coordinator, the module leader and the iGGi admin team. It may be possible for you to attend remotely for some of the module, if just a couple of the days are a problem. For students who are not in the final cohort of any run of iGGi, it may be possible for you to complete the module in the following year. If you are in the final cohort of iGGi1 (started October 2018) or iGGi2 (cohort to start in October 2023), the modules you need to take will not run again so it is especially important to talk to the relevant people as soon as possible.
I have a problem with the module I'm on, what should I do?
Depending on the problem, you can talk directly to the module leader/lecturer and let them know your concerns. Alternatively, you can contact your student reps for advice at: iggi-student-rep-group@york.ac.uk. The reps will happily help out by providing advice, collecting your feedback to give to staff at the next rep meeting, acting as a mediator if you'd like them to contact the module leader for you, or simply listening if that's what you need.
I am on a module and have become ill, what should I do?
Let the module leader know as soon as possible and copy in your supervisor. If you feel you need to go home, let your supervisor, the module leader and the iGGi Administration team know and arrangements for you to complete the module can be made from there.
