The iGGi Conference is the annual showcase of our 50+ PhD students, allowing a birds-eye view into their work, and a chance to bring academic research, innovation and the games industry together.Â
The conference consists of two days as well as an 'internal day' and is usually held in September before the start of the new academic year.
The internal day is just for iGGi researchers, staff, and supervisors, and includes information sessions for researchers at different stages of their PhD, as well as the chance to chat with and get to know your iGGi colleagues!
The main two days of the conference are open to the registered public and consist of talks and panels from iGGi researchers and industry experts. The details of the schedule are usually circulated to registered attendees in advance of the conference, as well as being made available on the conference website.
Throughout the conference all iGGi researchers will give a quick two minute presentation on their research, so everyone gets an idea of what their fellow researchers are doing . It is also a chance for the new iGGi intake to introduce themselves and their work to their new iGGi colleagues! Feel free to check out past Buzz presentations on our Youtube channel, or watch the example below.
