We will be practicing 5 sight words each week. Please encourage your child to practice their weekly sight words at home too! Students are expected to be able to read, write, and spell these words. Please remember with reading sight words, students are expected to be able to read the words within 1-2 seconds, "in a snap", or at first sight. Within our classroom, we have a helpful Word Wall that includes sight words. Your child will be able to refer to the Word Wall as a resource during reading and writing. You will also find a list of sight words in your child's binder.
