Welcome to my class website!  I am Mrs. Amanda Davis and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year at Duello Elementary! I am very dedicated to making this a wonderful school year for all of us.  

My Background:  I graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Business Administration.  After working in corporate finance for many years and then being a stay home mom to my three wonderful children for many years, I went back to school to pursue my dream of becoming an elementary school teacher.  I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Teaching Elementary Education from Lindenwood University and am certified to teach 1st- 6th grade.  This will be my sixth year teaching and I have taught both first and second grade. 

My Family:  I live in Lake Saint Louis with my husband, Rick, and our three daughters, twins Ashley and Savannah (12th graders at Timberland) and Brooke (8th grader at South Middle).  We also have an adorable Miniature Golden Doodle (who is as sweet as can be) named Emmy and a pet goldfish.  

My Interests:  I have a passion for learning and love being a teacher!  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with our puppy, traveling, boating, reading, and being outdoors. I also LOVE coffee, ice cream, animals, and the beach.  

We have an exciting year ahead of us.  I want you to know that I care very much about your child’s education and will strive each and every day to help him/her succeed.  I am honored and thrilled to have your child be a part of our classroom. My goal is to create a positive, safe, and fun learning environment where students are engaged in learning and are able to grow.
