This class is the best fit for students who are at a Novice-Mid or higher proficiency level at the end of the previous year. While most of the classroom interactions will be conducted in ASL, the instructor will use a variety of strategies to make sure it is 100% comprehensible for you. You will continue to acquire ASL while we learn about each other, deaf culture and history, and the world around us. We will take a deeper dive into deaf culture and history, and expand the range of topics that you can talk about.

Taking this class is the next step to Sign 3, where you have the chance to earn the Seal of Biliteracy on your high school diploma
This class is the best fit for students who are at a Novice-High or higher proficiency level at the end of the previous year. You will continue to acquire ASL while we learn about each other, deaf culture and history, and the world around us. We will explore ASL literature, and learn about topics of interest to you in this course.
Students in this class can expect to be at an Intermediate-Low or higher proficiency level by the end of the year. Many students reach Intermediate-Mid proficiency, which meets one of the eligibility requirements for the Seal of Biliteracy on their diploma at graduation.
