PACK TV VIDEO PRODUCTION AND BROADCAST - (84018/84019)

This course is for students wishing to create videos for PACK TV and/or anchoring PACK TV’s broadcasts. Students wishing to be an anchor for PACK TV will audition in late March or early April. Students must be willing to acquire skills needed for the technical aspects of broadcasting. Students will also create departmental promos and news stories for Fremont High School that will air on PACK TV. A camera is a mandatory requirement for this course.

Fee $10 per semester 11th or 12th Grade 1.0 CTE Credit

TV BROADCASTING 1 (84010)

Story Telling through editing, lighting, audio, and camera skills to produce high quality videos using Adobe Creative Cloud. Preparation for the state skills certification (video theory) will be a central focus of this course. Students who wish to register for additional video courses MUST pass the state certification test with an 80% or higher score. This course may only be taken once each year during the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. A camera is a mandatory requirement for this course

TV BROADCASTING 2 (84011)

Learn more advanced editing technical, lighting and camera skills in producing a video. Students will learn how to use Adobe After Effects, Green Screening, and Adobe Audition to use in their productions. Students will also be expected to create videos from a variety of different methods/genres. A camera is a mandatory requirement for this course.

Tryouts are required for this class. This course is for students wishing to create videos for PACK TV and/or anchoring PACK TV’s broadcasts. TV SPORTS & MEDIA PRODUCTION 1 (VIDEO PRODUCTION 1 - 84013)

Reporting, narrating, and producing sports broadcasts and videos through learning editing, lighting, audio, and camera skills using Adobe Creative Cloud. Preparation for the state skills certification (video, audio, and lighting theory) will be a central focus of this course. Students who wish to register for additional video courses MUST pass the state certification test with an 80% or higher score. This course may only be taken once each year during the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. A camera is a mandatory requirement for this course.

TV SPORTS & MEDIA 2 (VIDEO PRODUCTION 2 - 84014)

Learn more Sports Broadcasting techniques while properly using mics, cameras and lighting techniques. A weekly sports show will be produced as well as the possibilities of helping to produce some of Fremont’s sporting events. Using a switcher and Adobe Creative Cloud will be strongly enforced in this class. A camera and understanding of sports (any type of sport) is required for this class.

Pre-Requisite: TV Broadcasting 1 or 2, Digital Media 1 or TV Sports Broadcasting 1
