This class is for students who want a general understanding of 3D printing. This class will introduce the fundamentals of what a 3D model is and what makes it suitable for a 3D printer. Concepts such as rafts, supports, object orientation, scale, and position on the build plate. Students will download, scale and position and print objects from sites such as Thingiverse.

Lab and class work on automotive braking systems. Learn diagnosis and repair of hydraulic systems, drum, disk, power assist, wheel bearings, parking brake, anti-lock brake and traction control systems.

AUTO HYBRID ELECTRIC AUSV 1600 (84330)

This course is part of a sequence that prepares individuals to engage in the servicing and maintenance of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles automobiles. Instruction includes training in safety, the diagnosis of malfunctions and repair of electrical systems. Work ethics and productivity are an integral part of the classroom and lab activities of these courses.

AUTO SUSPENSION & STEERING AUSV 1022 (84334)

Lab and class work on automotive suspension and steering. Learning diagnosis and repair of springs, shocks, struts, rack and pinion, pumps, electric power assisting, alignment, tire balance and wheels.

CAD ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 1 – ID 1050 (84320)

Fundamentals of Architectural Drafting using 2D and 3D CAD. The first in a sequence of courses that prepare students for careers in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. This course includes instruction in 2D or 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to draw a small residential home with an emphasis on blueprint reading.
