This class is for students who have taken Art Painting in high school or have shown proof of painting experience to the teacher. In this class students will be given opportunities to further their painting skills. Students will be working with watercolor and acrylic paints, but if time allows other painting media will be introduced. We will be doing more advanced projects with a focus on three dimensional form, good overall design and good painting techniques. Learning some Art History and Contemporary Art styles will also be incorporated into the course. Students who take this course will have awesome paintings they will be proud of by the end of the semester.

Students will design, illustrate and advertise as an introduction to the many opportunities available in the graphic design industry. It includes the use of a computer lab and instruction in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
