Our fourth performance task is to design the bulletin board. After our teacher gives out the instructions to us, the whole class holds a meeting to discuss the concept or the theme that we will be following. A lot of suggestions came, and ideas pop like popcorn in a machine. While the class president and secretary tries their best to organize the continuous wave of creative designs, me, and my friends try our best to visually draft their ideas in a paper.
They said two heads is better than one, but how about 42 heads? More ideas lead to more options, and the more there are options, the higher quality output we can make. However, it's not easy to balance different points of view to make one whole, united idea, and this was a problem we encountered while starting the draft. Since there were a lot of opinions and ideas coming, thus a lot of consideration is being put into finalizing the theme. In the end, we have solved this problem and come up with one theme: a peaceful community. Nevertheless, I was happy that each one of us really helps whenever and whatever they can. During schedule dates where we need to work together to check each other and the bulletin’s progress, almost everyone was present to lend a hand and cooperate to complete our task.
We have finished the bulletin right on time and wait for our teacher to check and give her constructive criticism for us to improve our bulletin, and just recently, she gave her feedback to other bulletins and to us where ours needed more input.
In conclusion, the making of the bulletin board was challenging as there were a lot of things to consider in making one: the unity, simplicity, creativity, and the materials that, as much as possible, should be recycled materials. I am also happy to see that we have come up with a good output amidst our differences and will have a better output in our redesigning of the bulletin.
