Our first performance task is to create a creative introduction video about ourselves in less than a minute and 30 seconds. I passed this activity on August 8, 2024, via the link to a Google Drive shared with us by our teacher.
Before doing the task, I struggled with what to put in my creative video. I consider myself not as fun as my classmates, where they’re athletics, dancers, singers, and more. They have a lot to put into their creative videos, and I felt more devastated thinking, how would I create not just any video but a creative one, enough to be unique among others?
Since this was my first performance task, I was really striving for a positive impression on our teacher. Still, during the process of making my self-introduction video, I completely forgot about my goal and enjoyed reminiscing about things I did in my life that I forgot I had a period where I really enjoyed myself and saw the things I did as me. In the end, I was happy to complete my video with simple yet organized content.
In conclusion, this performance task tested my skills in utilizing technology while editing my video, which did not take long since I have experience in using video editing tools, and the challenge to make a lame self-introduction into a creative and engaging one. I realized I could also use this method in my teaching profession in the future.
