SkillsUSA's Current Events

School may have just started, but SkillsUSA has hit the ground running with a number of fantastic activities! During the first few weeks of school, the members of this well-known campus club have organized several events to help the student population have a good time: Otter Pop sales and the first Super Fun Night!

Do you ever get out of school and the sweltering afternoon heat messes up your day? SkillsUSA has a solution for you! Outside any of the exit gates, SkillsUSA will be selling Otter Pops for only a dollar each. As we continue to get through the end of summer, they’ll help beat the heat every Wednesday and Friday. When the heat returns in the spring, SkillsUSA will be back out there, ready to sell!

SkillsUSA also put on their first Super Fun Night of the year after the first full school week. The event turned out to be a blast for everyone involved. Culinary students cooked up some food for the kids to munch on while they enjoyed a night of gaming and hanging out with friends. Attendees were laughing, yelling, and having a good time playing video games, board games, and card games. The students in attendance will tell you that it was a great way to spend a Friday night. Following announcements in the bulletin each day that week, the trial run drew a sizable crowd. SkillsUSA would love to have an even bigger turnout next time!
