What is it about Winter?

Is it just the cold weather? Or maybe that feeling that days are shorter? The excitement of feeling that winter is here is indistinguishable, but the best part about it, are the things that make winter, winter. I think there is a reason why winter is the most different season from the rest of the seasons. Family gatherings, getting cozy in your house, Christmas, the food, candies, drinking hot chocolate, the movies, everything simply blends so well, even the little things like seeing birds migrating, or seeing the first signs of snowflakes, or hearing Christmas music. Let’s not even talk about the immense list of activities, because at the end, every big or little thing that makes winter has a special meaning that we can decide to value, that’s why I think of winter as a time of appreciation.
