Winter is a Celebration

Addison Marcheschi

Winter is a time of change. It is a season of traditions, resolutions, and growth. For some, winter might be difficult to get through, but for others it is a time to start anew. Whether it be mending bonds with family during the holidays, or setting a goal for self-improvement, the winter is an opportunity to achieve more happiness for yourself and others. Winter is a time of change.

Winter is a time of beauty. Whether you’re surrounded by the fall of rain or snow, there is always an element of beauty that winter brings. Rainy days may seem gloomy, but the water that falls creates more life, hydrating the fields, flowers, and trees, so they can shine in the spring. Snowy days may seem dreary, but the snow gives children an opportunity to express their creativity and bond with their family and friends. Winter is a time of beauty.

Winter is a time of warmth. As the temperature drops, the need for warmth increases. Fires light, filling the room with light and heat. Families huddle, covering themselves with blankets and spending quality time together. Couples cuddle, warming each other up and showing their love for one another. Though it is cold outside, winter ignites our need to spend time with each other. Winter is a time of warmth.

Winter is a time of change, beauty, and warmth. Winter is a celebration.
