Pioneer vs. Mira Loma Girls Volleyball Game

On October 19 the Lady Patriots went up against the Mira Loma Matadors High School Girls Volleyball team. After coming off a tough loss to Dixon they were hoping to bounce back and qualify for playoffs.

They started off strong, taking an early lead in the first set with a lot of strong finishes from Soquel Childers. However, the Matadors rallied and came back to win the first set 23-25.

Even though they lost the first set you could tell that the Lady Patriots weren’t phased. They dominated the second set winning it 25-14 through great teamwork and consistent serving.

The Third set started really rough with the Lady Patriots going down 10-15. However, they rallied together and with a lot of kills from Emma Brown, they scored 10 to Mira Loma’s 1 point going up 20-16. They were then able to finish the set off 25-23 and go up 2 sets to 1.

With a ton of momentum on their side, the lady patriots were able to dominate through the whole set and win the match 3 sets to 1 and qualify for playoffs, where they will face off against Vanden.

After the game there was Senior Night where you could tell all the seniors were super proud of themselves, and enjoyed the night and celebrations with their parents.
