One of our newest greetings during Morning Meeting. It has quickly become one of our favorites! Spider Web greeting. We roll a ball of yarn to our friends and hold onto our piece as we say good morning. At the end we stand up and see the web that connects us all.

During literacy we worked on two new letters; Ee and Rr. We each got to be the teacher and lead the class during Fundations.

We had library this week. After the story we check out a book. We love books so much we sit down and start reading our new books right away!

On Friday we saw "Cinderella" put on by Middle and High School students. We got to sit in the front row! We all loved it so much and were a great audience.

PICTURE WRITING

Every Friday we do a special project that involves creating, exploring and art. This week we did our first Picture Writing. We read "Mice Squeak We Speak" by Tomie dePaola. We then created our own illustration of an animal using crayon resist. After we stretched out our words and wrote a sentence to match our drawing. You will be able to see them in the hallway when you come to conferences.
